HOW THIS WAS CALCULATED
THE COST OF NOT HAVING VERIFIED SUPPLIER DATA
₹—

When you can't provide audited emissions data, EU defaults apply — costing your importer 30-60% more in CBAM certificates. Over 10 years, that's ₹—. This is where Carbon Sarthi creates measurable savings.

How is this calculated? Assumptions and caveats.

This estimate is indicative. Your actual CBAM exposure depends on your specific production process, supplier mix, electricity source, EU buyer location, and CBAM phase-in trajectory.

The "verified data" scenario assumes you can supply audited per-tonne emissions data from your supplier; the "defaults applied" scenario uses EU default emission factors. Emission factors based on EU Implementing Regulation 2025/2547 (CBAM methodology) and IPCC AR6 Global Warming Potentials.

Assumed CBAM certificate price: €75/tCO2e (mid-2026 estimate). Assumed FX rate: ₹93/€. CBAM phase-in factor: 100% from January 2026.

Carbon Sarthi prepares CBAM reports — verification is performed by accredited verifiers (TÜV, Bureau Veritas, DNV).
